She spins. She measures. She cuts.

I remembered one night when Gracia asked if we believed in Fate, and I enthusiastically agreed that I do. And someone asked something about being able to control or change your Fate. (I do not know the exact phrasing). The point is ¾ Yes, I do believe in Fate. Yes, I do believe we can’t change what has already been pre-destined.

Why?

I sound like some old sage saying this but there has been one too many times that I tried to reach for something that wasn’t meant to be and let just say it didn’t turn out well. On the contrary, things that happened to me in the weirdest of ways turned out to be the best I ever had. For example, my admissions to all my schools ¾  Peicai, CJ (come on, CJ was my seventh choice.) and Maritime. All my unlikely friendships that turned out to be an integral part of me.

The thing is, though I believe that we can’t change our Fate, I also believe that it is up to us to make the best out of what we can’t change. It is the little or big things that we do to make our sad (or happy) pre-destined life even more colorful and beautiful. It’s difficult but I am trying. So be it if some of you out there that do not agree and believe in this thing called "Fate". This is my take on it, suck it up.

At the end of the day, it is not about the “should-haves” , “would-haves” and “could-haves” but about what you can do now to make it all the better.

xoxo.
